Mirror, Mirror
I
don’t have any mirrors
Never
liked what I’d see,
Always
saw my Father
Staring
back at me;
Never
wanting to become
The
one I despised the most,
As
if somehow
I
acquired his ghost;
Frozen
for a moment
Memories
come rushing in,
Seeing
for a moment
The
child deep within;
Then
there’s the monster again
Staring
back at me,
Never
liked those mirrors
Never
liked what I’d see.
