Not On My Watch
I
know my day will come
And
I will be prepared,
Still
I’m apprehensive
And
a little bit scared;
Will
I rise to the occasion
When
I get the call?
When
nothing else will matter
And
I have to give it my all;
I
must forget about my family
Friends
and all the rest,
When
I’m called upon
And
put to the test;
My
heart will guide me
My
Rosebud I’ll reveal,
It
is then she’ll know
Exactly
how I feel;
And
it’ll be my finest hour
Which
I am not going to botch,
No
evil will ever befall her
At
least not on my watch.
